“Due to the lack of electricity supply, farmers in 10 villages are distressed.”
Beed : 11 June – Due to the scarcity of water, the cultivation of sugarcane has been affected, and in some places, there is a shortage of sugarcane. Additionally, there has been a significant increase in power outages recently. Due to frequent power cuts, fans, coolers, and other electrical appliances are not working, causing great inconvenience to children and elderly citizens. In Mālegāv 33/11 kV substation, electricity is supplied for only six hours a day through four different feeders for agricultural purposes. Among these hours, due to light faults, permits, and overload, there are interruptions in power supply. Therefore, the duration of power availability within these six hours is being investigated.
Meanwhile, the demand for electricity is currently high. Efforts are being made to maintain power supply with high voltage. The Mālegāv substation can handle a load of 230 Amperes at a given time. If the demand for electricity exceeds this capacity, there is a disruption in power supply. Consequently, single-phase and three-phase electricity cannot be supplied simultaneously. To ensure stable and high-pressure power supply, a 5 MVA transformer is required. The request for this transformer has been made to the senior office, according to Assistant Engineer A. V. Jadhav.
